Maintenance & Updates
Updates carry no risk, because you see the risk before you take it.
Bulk updates
Apply plugin, theme, and WordPress core updates from a single screen, across as many sites as you want, at the same time. You trigger the update; which update was applied to which site and when is recorded automatically, so you never have to visit sites one by one.
Pre-update risk alerts
When a plugin or theme update causes a fatal PHP error on any site in your fleet, the system automatically notices and flags every other site running the same plugin or theme with a "heads up" label. That way, before rolling an update out to the rest of your fleet, you can see the problem it caused elsewhere and make an informed call on the risk.
One-click version rollback
When you spot a problem after an update, roll the plugin or theme back to its previous version with a single click. The rollback only touches the files, never your site's database or content, so you can reverse a bad update in seconds without waiting.
Version lock
Turn on version locking when you need a critical plugin or theme to stay pinned to a specific version. A locked component isn't auto-updated even when a bulk update runs, so you keep full version control for custom integrations or compatibility-sensitive plugins.
PHP error tracking and correlation
Fatal PHP errors on your sites are collected automatically and tracked as a trend over time. When a new error shows up, the system automatically correlates it with plugin, theme, or core updates made on that site in the previous 72 hours and flags the likely source. Known false positives you mark as trusted won't bother you again, without breaking the audit trail.
Scheduled automatic updates
We're building full automation to apply updates on the day and time you set, instead of triggering them by hand. Backup and Safe Update infrastructure reliability is being hardened first so this can roll out safely.
Before/after update screenshot comparison
An update can break a site's look without crashing it outright. This feature will show before-and-after screenshots side by side so you can spot visual regressions that an accessibility check alone would miss.
Staging / cloning
We're building a workspace to clone a site into a separate test environment and try changes there before going live.
Backups
A backup isn't a safety net as long as it's one copy on one server.
Automatic backups
On the Free tier, your sites back up automatically once a month. On Agency, you set the backup frequency, multiple copies are kept, and you can also trigger a manual backup any time. Every backup covers both the database and the file system; restoring starts with a single click.
Cloudflare R2 backup mirror
A standard backup is stored on the same server that hosts the site. If the server becomes fully unreachable, the backup disappears with it. Watch Your WP automatically copies every completed backup to Cloudflare R2, a separate cloud storage location fully independent of the server. This extra layer of protection applies to every site, regardless of tier.
Progress tracking
Backing up or restoring a large site can take a few minutes. The progress percentage updates live in the panel throughout, so you can see which stage you're in (collecting files, compressing, uploading) instead of staring at the screen wondering if it's still working.
Security
Even a change made directly through wp-admin doesn't slip past you.
Security / health scan
On Free, you can trigger a scan by hand any time; on Agency, your site is scanned automatically every day. The scan combines a comparison against WordPress core's official checksum records, account/access security, and blacklist status into a single result.
Hardening
With one click: disable the XML-RPC interface, block username guessing through author pages, rate-limit login attempts to make brute-force attacks harder, and move the default /wp-admin login address to a custom URL of your choosing. These four measures directly target the most common automated attack types against WordPress sites.
Activity log
Alongside actions you take from the Watch Your WP panel, changes made directly on your site's own wp-admin screen (new content, a settings update, activating a plugin) are also recorded automatically. If a site gets touched from outside the panel, you can see it after the fact.
Access and user auditing
Sensitive actions like a new admin account being created on your site, an existing user's role being elevated, or a new application password being generated are automatically detected and flagged in the panel. These three actions are, in practice, the most common trace left by unauthorized access attempts.
Broken link scanning
We're building a Link Monitor that regularly scans your site's internal and external links, lists the ones that are unreachable or return an error, and offers direct fix actions like editing or removing them right from the panel.
Vulnerability Protection
We're building a protection layer that automatically scans known plugin/theme vulnerabilities (CVEs) against a threat intelligence database and automatically blocks detected attack patterns. It's planned as a separate, per-site add-on purchased independently of the Free/Agency split.
Heuristic malware scanning
Our current file integrity scan only catches files that don't match official checksum records. On top of that, we're building a scan based on known malicious code patterns that can also recognize code injected into a premium plugin with no checksum, or an entirely new web-shell file.
Client-facing maintenance mode
We're building a standalone feature to close your site to visitors with one click during a design or maintenance job, showing a customizable, schedulable (one-off or weekly recurring) "coming soon" page.
Monitoring
Hear about downtime from your panel, not from your customer.
Uptime monitoring
Your sites are tested at regular intervals with a real HTTP request, not the lightweight checks of a cache or CDN layer that can be misleading; what's checked is the response a real visitor would see. You get an instant notification when downtime is detected, and downtime history plus total uptime percentage are reported in the panel.
SSL and domain calendar
Your SSL certificate's and domain's expiration dates are combined into a single calendar, sorted by the nearest renewal date. An expired SSL certificate shows visitors a security warning, and an expired domain makes the site fully unreachable; both show up on the calendar well before the last minute.
PageSpeed summary
On Free, check your performance score by hand any time; on Agency, your site is scanned automatically every day. Instead of visiting each site's performance page one by one, compare your whole fleet's score from a single screen.
Response time trends
Uptime monitoring only answers "is the site up or down." Response time trends show how much slower or faster your site has gotten over time. A performance regression can be caught through this trend before it turns into a full outage.
Reporting & Branding

Branded client reports
A status summary of the sites you manage is generated automatically every month and emailed to your clients with your agency's logo. The report summarizes updates applied, security scans, uptime performance, and backup status, and removes manual report writing entirely.
White-label Connector
The Connector plugin installed on your sites shows up in your client's own wp-admin screen under the Watch Your WP name by default. Turn on white-labeling and the plugin's name, description, and author are replaced per site with your own agency brand; your client sees the plugin as your own product.
One-click site login (SSO)
You don't need to enter a username or password to access a site's admin panel. One click from the Watch Your WP panel takes you straight to that site's wp-admin screen through a secure, one-time session link.
Advanced client reports
We're building the ability to download the existing monthly report as a PDF, choose a frequency (weekly/biweekly/monthly), and add a section where your agency can write its own free-form notes. That gives you a concrete place to tell the client "here's the extra we did this month."
White-label: custom domain and favicon
On top of existing logo/brand color customization, we're building the ability to upload your own favicon, access the panel from your own subdomain, and have client emails go out from your own sender address.
Client portal
We're building a client portal where a site owner, without their own account, can get limited, read-only access to the panel through a secure link. That lets an agency show its client the work it's doing, transparently.
Team & Tools

Multiple admins and team invites
Invite team members to your organization by email and work together with up to 20 people. Every invited person logs into the panel with their own account and can access the organization's sites; no extra per-user fee.
Notes
Keep information you need to remember about a site or client (a special setting, a past request, an issue that was resolved) as a note in the panel with a rich text editor. Keep a note visible only to yourself, hidden from the rest of your team, if you want.
Tools: DB and cache cleanup
Transient data, spam comments, and trashed content that pile up over time bloat your database for no reason. Clean them up with one click, then flush the site's cache, without having to click around wp-admin one item at a time.

Public REST API
We're building a public API that also opens the existing Connector REST API to third-party integrations via API key, so you can build Zapier or your own automation tools on top of Watch Your WP.
AI natural-language queries
We're building a read-only query layer (MCP) where you can ask questions like "which sites have a problem" or "which updates are pending" in natural language through Claude or ChatGPT. Since the LLM subscription is your own, it won't require an extra fee.
